Purpose

Why This Action Plan Exists

This Action Plan helps employers across all sectors build the organizational capacity required to attract, recruit, engage, retain, and advance Indigenous talent. Rather than a simple recruitment checklist, it offers practical strategies that strengthen workplace inclusion, workforce sustainability, and economic reconciliation across the Treaty 7 region.

Through its implementation, CFT7 seeks to increase employer awareness of Indigenous talent, support workforce planning, connect employers with Indigenous talent sources and community partners, and facilitate respectful, culturally safe partnerships between employers and Treaty 7 communities.

A Living Document

This Action Plan will be updated regularly to reflect new learning, perspectives, and labour market shifts. It will be posted on the CFT7 website and promoted across its social media channels for the next several years.
