Building Inclusive Futures: CFT7 Joins Partners for Disability Employment Awareness Month Job Fair

This October, Community Futures Treaty 7 (CFT7) is proud to stand alongside community partners in celebrating Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM), a time to recognize the skills, contributions, and resilience of workers with disabilities across Treaty 7.

To mark this occasion, CFT7 is co-hosting a Job Fair on October 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bearspaw Youth Center in Mînî Thnî, AB. The event brings together employers, job seekers, and organizations to promote accessible employment and inclusive hiring practices that empower all individuals to thrive in the workforce.

Collaboration for Inclusion

This event is a joint effort between Goodstoney Nation, Chiniki First Nation, Stoney Nation Job Resource Center, Bearspaw First Nation, Alberta Employment First Network, the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada all working together to create pathways for inclusion and opportunity.

For CFT7, this aligns closely with our mission to help all First Nations individuals within Treaty 7 obtain and maintain meaningful employment through culturally informed training and employer partnerships.

Creating Opportunity

The DEAM Job Fair is more than a hiring event, it’s a space for allyship, learning, and connection. Job seekers can meet inclusive employers, explore training options, and find programs designed to support their career goals. Employers will gain insight into inclusive hiring practices and the value of a diverse workforce.
